How Form Processor Pro handles web forms
The following chart on Fig. 1 demonstrates how data streams are processed by Form Processor Pro, alike in most of form to email processors. In addition, it explains the uInput Data Processing, Output Processing, form processor, form mail, formmail, email form, data streams, web form, templates, database, calculations, form to emailse of configuration files and templates.
That's how Form Processor Pro manages a common web form:
Initialization.
When a web site visitors clicks on 'Submit' button in your web form, Form Processor Pro starts processing loading Basic Configuration File with its preferences.
Input Data Processing.
Initially, Form Processor Pro looks at a submitted data whether it contains basic variables to be overwritten, principally base_path. Afterward, it processes Local Form Configuration File to load the rules for further data processing.
Submitted data is being checked for compliance with form field types and generates detailed error message if check fails or incompliant data is submitted.
Submitted data is being parsed according to field types rules (trim spaces etc.), processed calculations and function calls. All data gets parsed and processed.
Output Processing.
According to variables and their values set in Local Form Configuration File, Form Processor Pro sends an output to a web browser, sends data by email and saves data to log files (database). Combinations of those are possible.
Note: Fig. 1 Error processing is not displayed in the chart above, since it is logically similar to parsing and processing data output.
